As an Investment Manager Treasury, you will play a key role in managing liquidity, cash, and collateral for the entire client portfolio, positioning you at the financial heart of PGGM. Together with your team, you ensure sufficient liquidity to meet all short-term payment obligations. You do this by managing a portfolio of money market instruments, such as deposits, (reverse) repos, money market funds and short-term bonds, and by sourcing additional liquidity when needed. Optimal use of available collateral and further expanding the pool of eligible collateral is an important focus. Furthermore, data analysis, scenario analysis and applying these insights are becoming increasingly vital for effective decision-making across collateral management, liquidity and broader treasury activities. The treasury team is continuously driven to further develop and enhance its treasury platform. Given the team’s central position within the organization, you will collaborate with various other departments.   

A selection of your tasks: 

• Together with your treasury colleagues you manage a portfolio of money market instruments and optimize collateral positions; 
• You maintain and strengthen relationships with banks and counterparties; 
• You leverage the latest programming tools to strengthen data-driven ways of working; 
• You contribute to the continuous improvement of internal and external processes, ensuring efficiency and innovation in treasury operations. 

Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM

PGGM manages the pensions of workers and retirees in the Healthcare and Welfare sector. The Asset Management unit is responsible for investing the pension assets. In this unit, the Treasury & Liquidity Management department is responsible for liquidity, cash and collateral management and thus plays a central role within the Asset Management organisation. The team consists of six Treasury professionals with a strong ambition to stay ahead of the latest developments in the market, and a proven track record track record of pioneering initiatives.  

Jouw achtergrond

We are looking for a candidate with portfolio management experience in Fixed Income/ Money markets, preferably including hands-on treasury activities . You thrive in a fast-changing environment, remain flexible and act decisively under pressure. . You take ownership, delivers results and pay close, attention to quality and detail. You are open and honest, actively seek and provide feedback, act with integrity and importantly you are a true team player. While working from home a few days per week is common at PGGM, we believe that spending more time in the office adds value, especially during your first year; therefore, you are willing to work from the office four days per week.  

You also bring: 

• 3-5 years’ of work experience in the field of Treasury. 
• WO educational background, with a professional mindset. 
• Preferably a quantitative education, and the associated analytical attitude and skills. 
• Excellent social and communication skills and a good sense of humour. 
• An independent, pro-active and hands-on work attitude. 
• Quantitative methods, proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, for quantitative analysis and automation  
• data driven way of working.
