Data Intelligence Specialist Asset Finance ( Freelance)
Within the Asset Finance domain of NN Bank, you operate at the intersection of data, reporting, and business analysis. In this role, you are responsible for translating reporting requirements into actionable solutions and actively contribute to the development and improvement of high-quality investor reporting. You work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring data quality and governance.
This is a freelance assignment until the end of 2026.
What you are going to do
- Ensure Asset Finance reports comply with NN Bank’s data governance principles by gathering, analysing, and documenting reporting requirements
- Translate business and reporting needs into clear, actionable specifications for DevOps teams (people, process, technology and data)
- Contribute hands-on to the development and continuous improvement of investor reporting
- Analyse existing reporting processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements
- Develop and maintain documentation, including functional specifications
- Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and implementation

Who you are
You know how to work in an Agile environment where collaboration, and continuous improvements are the foundations. Additionally, you possess:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering or a related role
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data analyses and data driven risk management within the Financial Services industry, preferably in the field of Asset Finance
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively. Being able to analyze and substantiate problems (step by step)
- Being critical, understanding the question behind the question (asking questions!)
- Result-oriented mindset and the ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills; be able to represent complex matters in an understandable way, be able to switch between - and being a sparring partner for both - operations and management
- Proficiency in tools such as PowerBI, SQL and Python; hands-on experience with DataBricks is preferred
- Experience with Logical Data Modelling and knowledge of data mart design
- Hands-on mentality and pro-active

You will work with a team of colleagues focused on analysing, preparing, and implementing changes within the Risk and data domain. You will also collaborate closely with experts in the field of Asset Finance.
