Join Our Leading Banking & Finance Team
Are you a driven Banking & Finance lawyer eager to work on high-profile transactions in an international environment? Our Brussels office is looking for an associate with 2 to 5 years of experience in credit and lending matters (event-driven or otherwise) to join our renowned Banking & Finance team, led by Antoine De Raeve and Jan Missoul.

At AKD, our Banking & Finance practice is at the forefront of cross-border financing transactions, leveraged and acquisition finance, project finance, real estate finance, and corporate lending. You will be advising leading financial institutions, private equity funds, and corporate borrowers on complex financing structures, working alongside a team of highly regarded experts.
Your Role
- Advise clients on a wide range of credit and lending transactions, including leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending, project finance and real estate finance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and legal opinions.
- Manage cross-border transactions from inception to closing, collaborating with international clients.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on regulatory and market developments in banking and finance.
- Work closely with Antoine De Raeve and Jan Missoul on complex and innovative financing structures.
Job requirements
Your Profile
- 2 to 5 years of experience in banking & finance law, preferably at a top-tier law firm.
- Strong expertise in credit and lending transactions, with an interest in structured finance and capital markets.
- Fluent in English, with Dutch or French as your native language and at least working proficiency in the other.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen commercial mindset.
- A proactive team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
